Privacy Policy for Quester+

Quest23 Inc. (“Quester+”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), a company registered in Canada, operates the Quester+ mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly

  • Email address
  • Password (stored securely in encrypted form)
  • Phone number (used for verification via one-time codes)
  • Username and profile information
  • User-generated content, including quest submissions, photos, images, receipts, reviews, comments, and messages

b) Quest and activity data

  • Quest participation and completion history
  • Location data used to verify location-based quests and check-ins
  • Activity data such as steps, distance, and calories collected via supported health APIs, with your permission

c) Automatically collected information

  • Device and app information (device type, operating system, app version)
  • App usage data
  • Crash logs and diagnostics
  • Unique device or app identifiers

2. Location Data

Quester+ uses precise location data to verify location-based quests, image-based and check-in quests, and location milestones.

Location access is required to complete these quests. If you choose not to grant location permission, certain quests and features will not be available.

Location data is used only during quest verification and is not stored as continuous location history.

3. Activity and Health Data

With your permission, Quester+ may access activity data such as steps, distance, and calories through supported health APIs. This data is used solely to verify activity-based quests and track milestone completion.

If you do not grant access, activity-based quests will not be available. Quester+ does not provide medical or health advice.

4. Photos, Receipts, and Quest Proof

  • Uploaded content is stored securely on our servers
  • Photos used for quest verification are not publicly visible unless you choose to post them
  • You may delete or hide your posts and uploaded content at any time

5. Social Features and Messaging

Quester+ includes public profiles, feeds and posts, likes and comments, and private messaging between users.

You control whether quest completions are shared publicly. Moderation tools are used to manage content that violates community rules.

6. Rewards and In-App Progress

Quester+ uses an internal reward system to track progress and redemptions, including gift cards, physical rewards (where applicable), and in-app rewards such as badges, titles, frames, and backgrounds.

At this time, rewards are fulfilled directly by Quester+. We do not currently use third-party reward fulfillment providers.

7. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the App
  • Verify quest completion and submissions
  • Enable social features and messaging
  • Manage rewards and progress
  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse
  • Respond to support requests

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data for marketing purposes.

Limited data may be shared only with service providers required to operate the App, when required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of users and the App.

9. Data Retention

Personal data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services.

When your account is deleted, personal data and user-generated content are removed, with any remaining data anonymized or deleted unless retention is required by law.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly within the App. Once deleted, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with this policy.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, restricted access, and secure storage practices. No system is completely secure.

12. Children’s Privacy

Quester+ is intended for users aged 13 and older. Physical rewards may be limited to users aged 18 and older.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Any such data identified will be deleted promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted in the App or on our website with a revised date.
